State Amateur Qualifier #4 – Green Spring

Today’s qualifying tournament for the 127th Utah State Amateur Championship took place at Green Spring Golf Course, where scorching heat and dry conditions persisted throughout the day, putting both physical and mental endurance to the test.
Nicholas Taggart rose to the occasion with a phenomenal round of 67, finishing 5-under par and earning medalist honors. Taggart’s round was highlighted by seven birdies, a testament to his aggressive yet controlled approach and ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities in tough conditions.
His performance secured him a spot in the Utah State Amateur Championship, along with eleven other qualifiers from today’s event. The championship is set for July 7–12 at Logan Country Club and Eagle Mountain Golf Course.
