Utah State Amateur Qualifier #11 – Oquirrh Hills

Oquirrh Hills Golf Course hosted the 11th and final Utah State Amateur Qualifier today.
The Tooele local Jesse Sayers claims Oquirrh Hills as his home course, and this home court advantage certainly paid off. He finished 2 strokes below his closest competition, with only one bogey on the day. When asked what his greatest advantage on the course was Sayers replied, “Knowing when and when not to hit driver… and being able to hit driver at the right time.”
With the cut finishing at +2 (74), 11 others also qualified for the 127th Utah State Amateur Championship, which will be held July 7–12 at Logan Country Club and Eagle Mountain Golf Course.
Good work to Jesse Sayers and everyone else who played. We look forward to seeing them compete in two weeks!
