Alpine Seniors Win 8-Man Championship at Tuhaye

Alpine Country Club captured the 2016 Private Senior 8-Man title Wednesday, August 31st at Talisker Golf at Tuhaye against Hidden Valley Country Club. The team ended the regular season as Division 1 champions with five wins and one loss to make the final match, while Hidden Valley won the Division 2 title with the same win-loss record (5-1).
Alpine CC earned a total of 22 points over Hidden Valley CC’s 14 points at Tuhaye. Alpine’s Craig Peacock lead his team by earning all three available match play points over Hidden Valley’s Gordon Furness. Steve Borget also helped Alpine earn the title with two and a half points over Bill Hesterly. The four-ball portion of the event was ruled by the Craig Peacock and Rick Bodell duo as well as Dave Dorton and Kurt Nielson; both four-ball teams earned three out of three possible points.
